The big news this week is that we are submitting our charity application to the charity commission! Hopefully this means that very soon we will be a registered charity and with this superpower, we will be able to give thanks, love and support to our health and social care heroes in bigger and better ways. So … watch this space!
Our social media campaign #ThankYouHeroes, launched recently with our amazing friends at AMG, Law Creative and Daisy Craydon PR has already gathered brilliant support from some incredibly inspirational people. Click the video below to watch Azeem Amir, Blind England Footballer (and world record holder for fastest blind Tough Mudder Challenge!) thank his heroes. As we look back on a difficult few months in lockdown and as our communities begin to open up again, it’s important to say #ThankYouHeroes to the healthcare workers who have kept us safe. Join in and share your message on social media using the hashtag #ThankYouHeroes – let’s make sure our heroes know how appreciated and supported they are!
In the meantime, please continue donating what you can to our gofundme page … pennies, pounds, it all helps. You could consider donating a coffee break to a hardworking team; Just £5 can buy 6 packets of biscuits and 16 cups of coffee for a healthcare team who need a break.
